Future Plans Sometimes Also Involve Job Applications

Still -40C. Walking to work today, I actually thought what if winter just never ends?

I have a temporary gig lined up that may be my full time gig next year at my first choice. There were double exclamation points in the offer. Must get out official CV action this weekend, though, as life is all about the backup plans. I have some gonzo networking missions on the advice of a friendly professor, too.

Even though I'm somewhat ambivalent about having work lined up for when I get home it makes funding a sabbatical a little easier.

Six weeks, more or less, at this office. Two weeks lost to time, professional development, and tying up loose ends. Four weeks at the temp thing. Five weeks in the same city as R, the most this year and maybe the most until November.

I've been eating Peek Freans Assorted Cremes like a fiend and my brain is not open to thinking whatsoever.
