Ok, let's fake it. I'm dying to work here and live here forever.
My resume belies being a little too interesting. They say they're looking for X but in reality they're looking for someone far more boring with sixteen hours a day to fill working for them. Less volunteer work and community involvement would be optimal, as would axing the international experience. Something to tie me permanently to this geographical location is excellent, children are bad.
Is it helpful to think about what would happen if this were a solo act? What are the rules on that?
If alone, maybe a year abroad at zero-sum, an MA somewhere ocean-related, and strictly interesting projects in many geo locations from there.
Is it helpful to ask why you can't do that, minus the MA, as a pair?
