Q&A

Q: Why can't you focus at work today?

A: Because it's just hitting me that I get to go back, that this period of my life is super temporary, and that I'm on the downward slide of finishing what I came to do.

Q: Why would you go back somewhere you've already been, don't you want to be a world traveller?

A: I don't actually want to be a world traveller. I kind of see my life as having phases of interest, this fits right now. I'm going back to where I've been because I want to get there while my friends are still around, because the place feels like home, and because I know I can afford it.

Q: Are you planning on travelling around?

A: Other than arranging the first destination, I have no plans. I have no plans.

Q: Are you looking into income while you're there?

A: Possibly, although I've arranged it so I shouldn't need to. I may work part time for room and board if there's an opening or dig around for some freelance stuff before leaving. The incentive not to blow the bank is I'm considering only working about eleven months before taking off again, if the opportunity comes up, and my things need to be in order if I want to be this age and still screwing around.

Q: Why doesn't everyone do this?

A: Because not everyone is crazy.

Q: How do you feel right now (sportscaster style, I should probably be sweating)

A: Stoked.
