Long Stories Short

I also think I'm going to be able to stay for the rest of my time in the city, in this nicely furnished land of joy!
As a semi-nomad it did not come as a surprise when my roommate announced they want to put the house up for March. It's being sold fully furnished. They said "in the interest of karma" I could stay until the end of my contract. Considering staying means paying way too much rent for: regular weekend realtor invasions, having to move most of my stuff somewhere, and dealing with the last round of kitchen renovations... I'm not sure how many karmic credits are being distributed.

They're good intentioned enough I was willing to a point to deal with everything but now that point has come and I'm quietly considering where to go next. Increasingly, I'm concerned the sale is going to be a disaster, as in they'll have trouble or won't recoup the investment, and do not want to be held responsible.

It is possible the ideal amount of time to work at any job is one year, whereas the ideal time to live with any person you are not (a) de facto family of or (b) engaging in conjugal relations with is approximately four to five months.

So tonight I'm going for dinner at what is possibly a very eccentric house where I may live for about half the rent, therefore saving enough for half my plane ticket. If not, am looking for something super low key to ride out the last two point five months.

Lemonade.
