There was this point/year where I really wasn't sure I was going to have this relationship thing. I'm not really relational. Then there was a conversation.
"You're so independent," he said.
And I thought about it and it was right. Self preservation and divergent tactics in one situation are useless in another, it was time to start to clear the land mines.
And then I said, "I need these things."
