Intimate Insight Into The Very Exciting World of Very Black Suits

Scanning news, watching snow, closing a few more files. One of my coworkers has revealed herself as psychotic, which was what I would have predicted from some quick background research on her, yet is still disappointing. Luckily, her objet d'obsession is my other coworker and not yet me. Maybe over Christmas someone can write her a 'scrip for some chill out drugs (we all have special wishes from Santa).

Everything here is peaceful, but the Christmas Party cannot come soon enough. Because the majority of people I work for are 55+ the party is held at a very expensive restaurant at 2 pm in the afternoon. The party probably marks the end of being in the office until sometime after New Years, due to being away for a couple weeks for work followed by holidays.

Today my favorite supervisor took me for lunch and asked what my next adventure would be. I paused awkwardly, filtering the words "getting the fuck out of dodge" from the instant response and formulating something like "going to CityX and finding a job where they don't make me do work that sucks." The slacker filter eats up all eloquence energy. We talked about markets and if finding a job will be difficult, he offered to help because he's cool like that. Overall, I'm actually not concerned whatsoever. The worst case scenario is taking a pay cut. That's because the scenario of not getting a job at all would result in moving somewhere cool, not telling anyone the truth about my previous life, and investing in hammocks. I haven't spent a lot of energy investigating the "best case" because I'm not really sure I know what the best case is yet. Picking my next job feels a lot like playing minesweeper.
