I have one thing to get done by the a.m. and then I'm taking the weekend off... almost everyone I work for is likewise taking days/weeks/summer off, so I don't really know what happens next, just that it's going to be pretty chill.

My job includes crazy benefits I had no idea about, including some kind of fitness allowance. I blew half on a three month yoga pass. I'm two for two right now and pretty much plan to go every day that I'm in the city and see what happens.

I can flex in 25 positions
but I only work here to pay my tuition

This weekend will mark two solid weeks of being an adult, which is going okay, but I'm starting to understand why people watch TV. Not because I've been watching it, but because real life [outside of my job, which is actually pretty cool] is boring. Seriously: amazed by people who go to work, go home every day, and don't freak out and run into traffic. You know, people who have really mundane repetitive jobs. But, this is on par with my incomprehension of how women do pregnancy/birth, and secret question whether fetus=parasitic? Ohhh...blasphemy.

My roommate is going away for the weekend. I will borrow his skateboard from the garage and it will be glorious.

I was thinking about the fact that I'm getting paid to do work, but also to get smarter, and that this is something people don't tell you to look for on career day.

Also, I went to the dentist to check on the status of the hole in my head [Shock value]. He surmised it's not going to kill me; good. I had a visceral reaction to sitting in a dentist's chair again, some kind of weird post op trauma I can't control, so redoing the surgery would probably require heavy sedation.

The Ex makes a middle of the night comment on my picture then deletes it. He broke up with the gf when he left town, she's following him to live there but they're not together. It's so weird it's almost worth wishing for a candid conversation.
